FinTech: Pan-African Bank, Ecobank Launches US$500,000 Challenge

Ecobank, a regional commercial bank operating in many African countries, has announced the launch of a US$500,000 Fintech Challenge in a bid to solve Africa’s most pressing banking issues.

The challenge seeks developers, programmers and Fintech innovators across Africa that can build Africa’s next big financial technology solution, thereby changing the way we bank.

Participants are required to submit entries in one or more of the challenge’s key areas of interest [1] and a chance of winning US$500,000 in funding.

Aside the funds, participants will also enjoy other benefits such as becoming Ecobank Fellows, and Service Partners; going multinational; maximising their reach; and showcasing their ideas at Ecobank’s Innovation Fair.

Got an idea that’ll solve Africa’s most pressing banking issues? Apply for the challenge by April 14, 2017
