Seed Academy Launches Business Accelerator for Female Entrepreneurs

Seed Academy, a training, incubation and funding ecosystem for entrepreneurs, has partnered South Africa’s WDB Investment Holding to launch a business accelerator for female entrepreneurs.

Powered by Shell Downstream South Africa, the business accelerator, known as AccelerateHer, aims to turn the ideas of participants into real life businesses.

25 female entrepreneurs will be selected, receiving unrivalled training, high impact business development support, in-depth coaching from successful women entrepreneurs and engaging masterclasses.

Also, they will get access to development opportunities through Shell’s Enterprise and Supplier Development programme and LiveWire.

The accelerator is fully-funded and will run for 3 months, between February and May 2017. One entrepreneur will win ZAR50,000 (US$3,000) to develop their business.

Interested black female entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years in South Africa should apply by February 10, 2017. Preference will be given to entrepreneurs from the Ekurhuleni area of Gauteng

  1. The very next time I read a blog, I hope that it won’t fail me just as much as this particular one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, however I really thought you would probably have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of complaining about something that you could fix if you weren’t too busy looking for attention.
