General Electric (GE), a US multinational conglomerate, has announced it is accepting applications for the 2017 edition of Lagos Garage, a skills training programme designed for hardware entrepreneurs in the country.
The GE Garages was launched in 2012 to reinvigorate America’s interest in invention, innovation, and manufacturing. In 2014, it held for the first time in Lagos, Nigeria at GE’s regional HQ for three weeks, and last year too.
This edition will see Nigeria’s most promising entrepreneurs work with several world-class instructors, investors, technical experts and partners to build a culture of collaboration and innovation and bring their ideas to life.
The entrepreneurs will directly interact with the latest manufacturing technologies – including 3D printers and laser cutters – that enable innovation through rapid prototyping, which will transform Nigerian industries.
Also, the Garage will provide participants access to advanced hardware and Nigeria’s greatest mentorship network, supporting entrepreneurialism with the aim to drive growth across all sectors of industry.
The program will run from February 27 – March 24, 2017 from 4 PM – 7 PM on weekdays at GE Nigeria Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos. Interested entrepreneurs should apply by February 20, 2017. It’s free!
