Egyptian venture capital firm, Innoventures, LLC has announced applications for the fourth cycle of Startup Reactor, an accelerator program, are currently open.
Startup Reactor is a 5-month program aimed at supporting and accelerating startups in Egypt with a high potential for accelerated growth.
Startups selected for the program receive mentorship and training, and then full program benefits. At the end of the program, the top 3 startups are selected and awarded cash prizes and further investment opportunities.
Last year’s edition was won by ZeroWaste Technologies, a company which develops autonomous waste management solutions, receiving €5,000 in the process. Tripdizer and Perligos (the second and third placed startups) got €3,000 and €2,000 respectively.
This year’s program will see 30 startups qualify for Ignition (Bootcamp stage) where they’ll receive mentorship and training. 15 startups will then proceed to Plasma stage, receiving full program benefits such as mentorship, facilities, company registration and more.
The program will end in a Demo Day where the startups will pitch in front of potential investors, industry professionals and partners. The top 3 startups will receive €15,000 in cash prizes, with further investment opportunities from Innoventures and VC4A investor network.
The program is open to all Egyptian startups that are less that 3 years old and haven’t received more than 100,000 EGP funding. Applications will close on April 1, 2017 with the program proper commencing on March 19 and ending on November 30, 2017.
