The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) has selected five entrepreneurs for the final of the Digital Pitch Competition holding during the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Johannesburg, South Africa this March.
Announced back in January 2017, the competition seeks to give entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their products/services at the 2017 GEC. They were required to submit pitch videos to qualify.
Following calls for applications and public voting, five entrepreneurs have now been selected for the final. They are Mawande Mpungose with Ghea Live (South Africa), Karen Yvon with In Stea Ltd. (Mauritius), Samuel Kirpono with East African TechSpace (Kenya), Marlene De Sousa with Attitutde (Mozambique), and Charles Immanuel Akhimien with MOBicure (Nigeria).
The entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses in front of fellow entrepreneurs, potential investors and others in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem during the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) holding in Johannesburg from March 13 – 16, 2017.
Their flights to the venue and accommodations for three nights will be covered, and they will also receive recognition as VIP guests, giving them networking opportunities with big players from tech ecosystems around the globe.
