Blackbox, a California-based seed stage accelerator focused on assisting international startups, has announced applications for the Female Founders edition of its Blackbox Connect program have opened.
A two-week immersion program, Blackbox Connect brings founders who are based outside the US to Silicon Valley to live and collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs from all around the world.
During their stay there, they’ll take part in an intense agenda of meetings and workshops with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and executives.
This Female Edition will bring at least 17 female founders to Silicon Valley for the program. The cost of the program (including airfare, tuition, room & board) will be covered by Google for Entrepreneurs, the sponsor of the event.
“Together with a top-tier network of advisors, mentors, and speakers, the Blackbox team builds a foundation of trust that allows you to tackle key challenges in your vision, team, product, market, business, and culture. Your peers in the program—global entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and sectors, will provide fresh perspectives that open new possibilities for growth, both personally and professionally,” Blackbox stated.
Female founders across Africa that are interested in the program should apply by March 8, 2017. They must be proficient in English and their startup must have a product with customers. The program will run from May 16 – 25, 2017 in San Francisco.
