The Lagos Chapter of global startup community for educating, inspiring, and connecting entrepreneurs, Startup Grind, will be hosting Payporte’s CEO Bassey Eyo at its April Meetup.
Launched in 2014, Payporte is an online retail store housing top quality wide-ranging foreign products as well as local products from local businesses.
Payporte was the first to launch a 1k Store in the industry to support its customers through the economic downturn. The store housed quality products sold at not more than ₦1,500 and across all categories.
The startup has continued to keep its promises of delivering quality and affordable products and services to its customers, and this has won it several awards, including the Ecommerce Company of the Year by the CBN Cashless CardExpo Africa in 2016.
The startup’s CEO Bassey Eyo will be at Startup Grind Lagos to share how he has steered the company to the level it is today despite the odds. Specifically, he’ll talk on the theme: “The Grind: Thriving in the face of adversity”
The event will feature a Q&As and discussion sessions which will be led by Startup Grind Lagos’ Chapter Director, Uwem Uwemakpan, and co-director Blessing Abeng.
Also at the event, Teleola Adegoke of Techpreneur Africa will speak on “How MSMEs can build mini ecosystem support for their businesses to support growth and sustainability” in the ‘learning curve’ segment of the Meetup.
The Meetup will hold on 29 April 2017 at the CITC Learning Centre in Ikeja, Lagos from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Interested in attending? Purchase your ₦1,000 tickets here and avoid paying ₦1,500 at the venue.
