Kudi.ai, a Nigerian bill payment chatbot is now available on Skype and Telegram, giving users more option to access the platform and get shit done.
Launched earlier this year, Kudi.ai has turned the way we bank on its head. The chatbot allows one purchase airtime and data bundle subscription, pay bills, transfer funds and more through chatting. I’ve tried it and it really works!
Kudi.ai gives you a mighty and valid excuse for not visiting your bank so often. This explains why it has been widely adopted across the country and why investors have come calling.
The startup was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2017 (YC W17) batch with four other Nigerian startups. As part of the batch, Kudi received funds and training, and pitched to potential investors.
Since launch, the chatbot was only available on Facebook Messenger, which one way or the other limited its reach as not everyone used the platform.
Now, Telegram, a very secure messaging platform, and video messaging platform, Skype have joined the fray. In the coming weeks, I’m sure Kudi will also be available on WhatsApp, Slack and all other messaging apps, including WeChat.
