Nigeria: Swift Networks Launches Free Broadband Wi-Fi Service

Few days ago, Don Jazzy and Dele Odufuye, Managing Director & CEO of Tsaboin, launched a free Wi-Fi Internet service in Lagos known as Flobyt. Swift Networks Limited has also gone on to launch a similar service.

Called RED CHEETAH, the broadband Wi-Fi service is completely free of charge and has no download limits. It can be accessed in public spaces via any Wi-Fi-enabled device like smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.

RED CHEETAH is currently live at the Murtala Mohammed Airport terminal 2 (MMA2). It offers subscribers the fastest and highest quality broadband Internet. Other locations in Lagos will get the service in due course.

“I therefore encourage you, your family members, friends and associates who use this terminal to login via the “RED CHEETAH” signal, complete the simple registration process and get online in seconds,” said Chuma Okoye, Chief Operating Officer of Swift Networks.

The service is supported by some corporate sponsors, as such subscribers will be required to view, from time to time, advertisement messages from the various sponsors who have made the service free.
