Andela, a talent accelerator that recruits and trains software developers and connects them with employers globally, has announced the expansion of its fellowship program to Uganda and is currently searching its inaugural cohort.
The four-year program begins with six months onboarding after which the fellows commence work with one of Andela’s partner companies as a full-time team member.
The remaining 3.5 years will see the fellows apply their knowledge and expertise while receiving ongoing coaching and mentorship.
Through their work with top global technology companies, the fellows will master the professional and technical skills needed to become a technology leader – both on the continent and around the world.
After the four-year program, the fellows are expected to start their own tech companies, work directly with client companies as employees or help train more software engineers at Andela.
The fellowship program is open to Ugandans that have a passion for learning, a love for technology, and the drive to become a kick-ass developer. They can apply by April 1, 2017.
The applications process will be in four stages: Application and Aptitude Assessment; Home Study; Panel Interviews; One Week Immersive Onsite, and Acceptance. The fellowship program will run from June 5, 2017 – June 4, 2021.
