BongoHive, Zambia’s first technology and innovation hub, has graduated six startups from its 4th Launch programme, unveiling them at a Demo Night two days ago.
Started in 2016, Launch is an accelerator programme aimed at startups looking to scale and gain traction. Selected startups go taken through a customized series of interventions.
The programme is designed to allow startup founders to schedule weekly sessions as needed with the incubation lead, accountant and legal counsel over a period of three months.
The last edition saw five startups pitch on Demo Day with three moving on to the next stage of assessment, and the finalists admitted into entrepreneurship programme, Thrive.
This latest edition admitted 12 startups into the programme with only 6 completing the programme and graduating at Demo Night. The graduands are Kulima Radio, HomeCare, ZuCCHI, Simply Relocate Zambia, Outsource Now LTD and My Perfect Stitch.
The top pitches on the night are Outsource Now, Kulima Radio and Simply Relocate Zambia.
The three startups will be admitted into Thrive, where they’ll get access to dedicated co-working space and receive support to help them grow and transition from a startup to an investable and scalable business.
